Sorry forgot! The varsity baseball program lost twice to Bay city Western by the scores of 13 to 12 and 15 to 8. The Panthers hit the ball really well all day with Landon Nixon and Ty Tunney both hitting home runs. Ben Briggs had 4 hits on the day and Carson Koin added 3. Next up we head to Beaverton for a doubleheader on Monday.

Kelcy Sperling singled down the right field line, which helped Clio Varsity Mustangs tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. A home run to right field by Veronica Tate gave Clio Varsity Mustangs the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second. Tate homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the third for the Clio Varsity Mustangs. Addie Taylor earned the win for Clio Varsity Mustangs. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking five. Burke took the loss for Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers. The pitcher went six innings, allowing eight runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking six. Burke provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers with two runs batted in. Anna Briggs, Keeley Peace, Jordan Mielke, and Jaylynn Yenna each collected one hit for Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers. Yenna paced Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers with two walks. Peace hit a home run to center field in the first inning, tripled in the fifth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the first inning. The varsity baseball team got two more wins against conference for Shepherd. It was a complete team effort and everyone contributed. The scores were 7 to 1 and 5 to 0. The squad heads to Bay city Western on Saturday to face the Warriors for a 10 o'clock doubleheader.

The middle school track showed up last night at their home meet. The entire shot put team of Brady
Crainer, Carter Smith, Travis Pavlik, Carter Dixon, Josiah Cottrell, Alec Schumacher and Anna
Ratajczak hit their personal bests. Karmari Dittenbir turned on the speed by taking first in the 55
hurdles, 100 and 200 meter dashes. Kamari, Josie Lapan, Sydney Girardin and Kailey Johnson took
first in the 4x100 relay as well. Michael Raymond took first in the 70 meter and 100 meter dash while
setting a personal best in pole vault. Max Doremus set 3 personal bests in the high jump, 200 meter
and 70 meter dash. E’Monie Here and Samantha Illig set their new personal bests in the 55 hurdles.
Myra Dixon continued to soar to the top taking first in pole vault. Ava Spyker and Hayden Kilgus also
brought home personal bests in the 1600 meters. A big thank you to the staff who came out to support
the team and the high school volunteers who helped run the events!

The lady panthers soccer team honored our seniors and brought home another win. We defeated Pinconning 6-1. Analeis Ming 5 goals Charlotte Ming 1 goal 2 assists Kennedy Kuberski 2 assists Klaire Kuberski 1 assists Kaitlyn Jean 1 assist Reagan Satkowiak 7 saves

SSC Baseball got two quality wins and comebacks against Gladwin tonight 4 to 1 and 13 to 9. Jay Roper pitched a complete game in game one and Rylee Blanchard got the win in game two and the big hit in game one. Jay Roper and Ben Briggs each had three hits and game two and Preston Kann his first career home run. Tomorrow we will be at home facing Shepherd for two more conference games.

Per MHSAA, when it comes to physicals for student athletes, they must get a new one after April 15th and prior to their next school year sport starting.
So after this school year ends, each student athlete will need a new physical and hopefully you can upload it to Final Forms.

Varsity baseball beat Frankenmuth tonight 14 to 0 and tied Midland Dow 2 to 2. The Panthers will be back playing baseball at GladwinNR on Tuesday night at 4:00. Our current record is 14-1-1.

The girls soccer team got a bounce back win tonight. They defeated Beaverton 2-0. Analeis Ming scored 1 goal assisted by Addison Schaenzer. Charlotte Ming scored the second goal assisted by Analeis. Makiya Bellor had 7 saves while tending the goal. Their next match is Tuesday May 5th at 5:00. We'll be playing Pinconning. It is our Senior night. Come out and support the girls.

Rylee Blanchard, Branton Bartlett and Landon Nixon all contributed two hits. Karter Fegan pitched a complete game two hitter and Jay Roper and Noah Begres both had two hits in game. The boys head to Midland Dow tomorrow for a tournament and face Frankenmuth at 3:30.
