Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers easily dispatched Pinconning Varsity Spartans on Saturday, 16-6.
Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jaylynn Yenna singled, scoring one run, and Jordan Mielke doubled, scoring two runs.
Pinconning Varsity Spartans flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 5-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Kailee Rugenstein that drove in two.
Keeley Peace homered to left field following a 6-pitch at-bat, which helped Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers tie the game at five in the top of the second.
Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers took the lead in the top of the third. Laiken Deckert laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, to give Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers the upper hand, 6-5.

Julia Mattson hit two home runs and drove in six as Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers defeated Oscoda Varsity Owls 11-1 on Saturday at Robert C. Bolen Memorial Park. Mattson homered in the fourth and first innings.
Madison Burke struck out 11 batters on the day. The hurler also surrendered two hits and one run over six innings while walking two.

Jaylynn Yenna hit two home runs and drove in five as Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers defeated Hillman Varsity Tigers 21-3 on Thursday at 2401 Grove Street Rd. Yenna homered in the second and fifth innings.
Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Keeley Peace homered to right field, and Jordan Mielke singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Hillman Varsity Tigers tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Rylee Lis, and a fly out by Brook Linseman.
Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring six runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Peace that drove in three.

It came down to the wire on Thursday at 2401 Grove Street Rd, as Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 5-4, over Hillman Varsity Tigers. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run.
Keeley Peace homered in the first and third innings. Peace hit two home runs in the victory.
Hillman Varsity Tigers were the first to get on the board in the first when Madelyn Oswald grounded out, scoring one run.
Peace homered to left field, which helped Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
In the top of the third, Hillman Varsity Tigers broke up the tie when Gretchen G. Weiland doubled, scoring one run. Then a sacrifice bunt by Rylee Lis followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
Peace hit a solo inside the park home run in the bottom of the third for the Standish-Sterling Varsity Panthers.

Pre-District game. First goal for SSC was scored very early in the game, however, Shepherd held on for quite a while before we scored again playing very strong and tough. Analeis was on fire tonight with 3 unassisted goals and excellent offensive passes from Addison, Charlotte and Klaire for her other 5 goals. The final goal of the game was a PK to put Analeis at a total of 9 goals for the evening. On May 27th we play Ogemaw on our home field. Come out and support the girls!
