BOYS BKB: STANDISH 53, CLARE 47
It was a game-long battle.
But Standish-Sterling is pretty accustomed to that.
For the fourth time in five games, the Panthers played a game decided by a single-digit margin, this time outdueling Clare 53-47 for a Jack Pine Conference-1 victory.
Clare led 21-18 at the half before Standish (3-2) found its offensive spark. Karter Fegan and Landon Nixon heated up in the third quarter to turn the tide. Fegan finished with 20 points and Nixon 18 as the Panthers landed their third straight win.
Dane Alexander led Clare with 16 points and Parker Smith scored 11.
